The entrance to Terminal 3 – the only one currently operating – will be allowed only to passengers and airport operators. In addition, body temperature checks through thermoscanners, already operational since February 4, will now be carried out at the entrance to the airport and no longer at the boarding gates. In particular, the check will be carried out at entrance 5 on the departure floor of Terminal 3 and on the mezzanine of Terminal 3; for those arriving from multi-storey car parks and the railway station. At the arrivals of Terminal 3, however, checks are carried out at door 4.
The exit from the terminal will be allowed at the departures level from door 3 and at arrivals level from door 2.
For all passengers in transit, it will be mandatory to wear a protective mask and keep the interpersonal distance of at least one meter.
This measure is in addition to all the other initiatives taken by the Rome airport management company to make the airport safe and comfortable, starting with the sanitization of the entire airport perimeter, both in the internal areas (check-in counters, metal detectors, storage containers, waiting seats, handrails of escalators, toilets, trolleys for transporting suitcases, luggage) and, as needed, in the external ones (roads, temporary parking areas, taxi stands) .
The spaces inside the airport have been remodeled to ensure social distancing. Increased information on service monitors, added information totems and installed over 200 sanitizing gel dispensers and mask dispensers.
