Air Canada offers three check-in methods, via the internet and at the airport.

By registering online, passengers can print their boarding pass independently from the airline’s website aircanada.com or choose to receive it on their mobile phone in electronic form with a barcode.
With online check-in you can also register when you are traveling as part of a group or when you are traveling with a child, and you can cancel your check-in, while from your smartphone you cannot print your boarding pass and it is not possible to check in if you are traveling with a child.

Those wishing to register at the airport can print their boarding pass at the self-service kiosk at the airport and cannot cancel check-in.

Those traveling with a child and those who check-in from their smartphone can only print their boarding pass at the airport.

Online check-in, whether on your computer or mobile phone, is available 24 hours to 45 minutes prior to departure on flights within Canada and 60 minutes prior to international connections, including the United States.

The self check-in at the airport is available from 12 hours before the flight.
